Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) and otitis externa (OE) in patients aged over 2 years.
20 single-dose vials (1.2 mg/0.4 ml). DOES NOT NEED TO BE RECONSTITUTED.
Adults: Acute otitis externa; instil the contents of one vial (0.4 ml) into the affected ear twice a day for 7 days. Chronic suppurative otitis media; instil the contents of one vial (0.4 ml) into the affected ear twice a day for 10 days. Elderly patients: No dose adjustment is necessary in this group of patients. Adolescents and children over 2 years: Given that the preparation is for auricular use, no systemic absorption is expected via this route. Clinical studies have not detected plasma levels of ciprofloxacin following its auricular use in patients with tympanic membrane perforation. No dose adjustment is necessary in this group of patients. Children under 2 years: As there are no data on children under 2 years, use of this product is not recommended in this age group.
